Junior Laboratory Technician

Reporting to: Laboratory Supervisor

Salary: 19,000 to 23,500 subject to age and experience

Package: Group Pension, Life Assurance

Hours of Working 35 hours per week

Safe Working

Ensure the working environment of the Laboratory is maintained clean and well organised, providing a professional look for visitors to the Site. Ensure that these areas are maintained to reduce risk of incidents and accidents. Provide feedback through reporting Near Miss Reports and direct feedback with the Production Management team on potential Safety Issues. Analysis of all in process and finished product samples. Maintenance of all retained samples, including timely removal of samples once past their retention time. Maintaining the Laboratory Reagent Stock room in a clean and tidy condition. Maintaining the Laboratory Packaging Stock and ensuring there are no stock outs.

Maintaining Standards

Ensure all equipment in the Laboratory is maintained to the standards set by the OEM and is calibrated to the required standard and frequency.

Customer Complaints

Monitoring, auditing and assessing Label Quality and Accuracy for all products incorporating QC Testing and Labelling prior to Authorisation from the Laboratory. Feedback on areas to improve and eliminate Customer Complaints.

Maintain effective communications with your peer group and all members of the site and the company.
