About the Role:

Our laboratories support a wide variety of students with many different areas of interest including A-levels, BTEC\'s and an array of Higher Education degrees, both undergraduate and postgraduate. As the needs of the students evolve so does our team and we rise to each challenge with enthusiasm and positivity. An interest in all aspects of science and animal anatomy is essential, with a willingness to assist as required. Currently our laboratories are situated within two buildings so a good level of organization and forward planning is essential.

We are a hard-working team with a very important role supporting the students and enabling them to enjoy the fulfilling practical side of science education. As a Junior Laboratory support technician you will work alongside other members of the team until comfortable to undertake appropriate tasks with minimal supervision. Thorough training in all areas will be given to support you at all times.

About You:

  • A keen interest in all areas of science.
  • A willingness to learn and use your initiative, as you will be joining us at an exhilarating time of expansion and change.
  • An understanding of the role of dissection and being able to facilitate this area safely.
  • Must be able to recognize and implement Health and Safety protocols within the laboratory.
  • The ability to plan ahead and recognise that all tasks, even the most inconsequential, are necessary for a smooth running department.
