About the Role
We are seeking a
Junior Land Surveyor
to join our growing team, with exciting opportunities to work on some of the largest UK construction projects. We're looking for someone who is purpose-driven, collaborative, adaptable, and safety-conscious - someone who wants to make a real impact in keeping the water running and the lights on for towns and cities across the UK.
Your role will include a mixture of site and office-based work as part of a team delivering modern survey solutions using cutting-edge technology. Our experienced team members will offer mentoring and support tailored to your development needs, helping you grow within our rapidly expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
Work with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GNSS and data collectors
Set out for different trades in construction projects
Establish survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing and other land surveying work
Resolve any unexpected site issues with help from the team and management as required
Accurately and consistently record surveying information on site to the agreed specification and scope
Process data from the field into the office, post processing with software such as AutoCAD
Assist with detailed field and office surveying assignments
Check the quality of information collected on site and ensure successful transition to deliverables
Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept
Deliver to company policies, procedures, standards and best practices
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Requirements:
Surveying experience
Full UK manual driving licence
Flexibility to travel to sites nationwide
Able to work collaboratively in a team and deal with clients on site
Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with all levels of stakeholders
Adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment that changes quickly
Strong work ethic with ability to prioritise workloads effectively
Desirable:
RICS/ICES Qualified
UAV/Drone Experience
University degree in survey related field
CSCS Card holder (this will be required before starting work)
N4CE experience or software knowledge
Laser Scanning Experience with point cloud registration & BIM workflows
Monitoring Experience
