Join Our Team as a Junior Laravel / Vue full Stack Developer

We're a fast-growing ecommerce retailer looking to expand our small, agile web team with a junior full stack developer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-traffic ecommerce platform built with a modern Laravel and Vue.js stack.
You'll work closely with our Technical Lead in a collaborative environment where
your ideas and input will help shape the product. As this is a fully remote position,
we're looking for someone who is self-driven, well-organised, and comfortable
working independently.

What You'll Be Doing

Writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code using PHP and JavaScript Building responsive front-end interfaces with Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, and Blade Developing backend functionality in Laravel, including Eloquent models, APIs, and scheduled tasks Integrating third-party services such as payment gateways and shipping providers Diagnosing and resolving bugs and technical issues Taking part in sprint planning, task scoping, and code reviews Contributing to performance improvements and ecommerce-specific features Staying up to date with modern web development tools, trends, and best practices

Skills & Experience We're Looking For

Required:

Strong understanding of PHP (OOP) and vanilla JavaScript Production or project experience with the Laravel framework (including Blade templates) Production or project experience with Vue.js Version control experience with Git Comfortable working with both vanilla CSS and utility-first frameworks like Tailwind Understanding of RESTful APIs and web application architecture Ability to showcase your work via personal or GitHub project

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, PHP) Experience working on ecommerce platforms or custom ecommerce systems Integration experience with third-party APIs (REST/SOAP) Exposure to Inertia.js Confidence working with live servers or tools like Plesk Knowledge of caching strategies and performance optimization techniques

Proactive and able to take initiative without constant supervision Strong time management and organisational skills Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setting Curious and always eager to learn new tools and technologies Good communicator, especially in asynchronous, remote-first environments Persistent and resourceful when solving problems

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of professional development experience (personal projects also considered) Must be based in the UK and legally eligible to work
