Junior Manufacturing Coordinator

Overview:



This role is a hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting a range of key operational functions including picking, warehousing, logistics, production planning, and coordination.

Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll develop the skills and knowledge needed to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products through our production and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the coordination of daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and safely. Support warehouse activities, including goods receipt, picking, packing, stock control, and dispatch. Learn and assist with logistics planning, ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished goods. Collaborate with the production planning team to track work orders, material availability, and workflow progress. Help maintain accurate inventory and production records within ERP or warehouse management systems. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity, reduce waste, and streamline processes. Support communication between departments (production, warehouse, quality, and logistics) to maintain operational alignment. Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards.

Skills & Attributes:



Strong organisational and time management skills. Keen attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on approach. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/WMS systems is a plus). Eagerness to learn about supply chain, production, and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:



GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science required. Further education in Engineering, Logistics, Business, or Manufacturing (preferred but not essential).
