Junior Operator
Stoke-on-Trent
12-hour shifts - 5-shift rotation (2 days, 2 nights, 6 off)
About the role
We're looking for a Junior Operator to support our Senior Operator in the day-to-day running of our waste oil refining plant. This is a hands-on role carrying out routine checks, monitoring equipment, and helping to keep the site safe, compliant, and efficient. Full training will be provided.
Key duties include:
Hourly plant checks (gauges, pump pressures, totalisers). Inspecting lines for leaks and carrying out odour assessments. Checking and maintaining oil-water separators and oil mop system. General housekeeping and site upkeep. Assisting fitters during shutdowns. Weekend production quality checks in the lab. Applying isolations (verified by third party).
Shift pattern:
5-shift rotation system. 12-hour shifts: 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am. 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 6 rest days. Holidays are built into the shift pattern; longer leave is managed via shift swaps.
What we're looking for:
Reliable team player with good attention to detail. Comfortable with a 24/7 shift pattern. Previous plant/industrial experience useful but not essential - full training given.
