Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital design and graphic design, with a passion for creating innovative packaging solutions that enhance product visibility and consumer engagement. This role requires proficiency in various design software and an understanding of the latest trends in packaging design.

Responsibilities

Develop and create packaging designs that align with brand identity and marketing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and production, to ensure cohesive design execution. Utilise software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce high-quality visual designs. Create 3D mock-ups using SketchUp or CAD software to present packaging concepts effectively. Conduct photography sessions for product images and incorporate them into packaging designs as needed. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor packaging strategies to inspire innovative design solutions. Prepare specifications for production, ensuring designs are feasible for manufacturing processes. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

Requirements

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential. Experience with digital design tools such as Sketch and Maya is highly desirable. Familiarity with web design principles including HTML and CSS is an advantage. Strong graphic design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics. Ability to create engaging visual content through photography and digital media. Knowledge of packaging materials and printing processes is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts clearly to team members and stakeholders. A portfolio showcasing previous packaging design work is required for consideration.
