Purpose of the job:

Manage packaging development, trials, and new product launches. The role includes supporting value creation and adopting sustainable solutions. You will also provide technical support and report packaging data.

Result Areas:

Ensure the smooth and effective launch of packaging changes and new product launch planned for the UK sites. This position requires a dynamic individual to manage packaging development and trials, collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Support continuous packaging improvement projects, specification changes, and value engineering projects and ensuring all packaging elements are delivered on time, in full, and within budget.

Review the suitability of new packaging materials and formats, providing technical support throughout the process.

Report packaging data for our own brand and our customer through web platform, requiring a good level of computer skills and packaging material understanding.

Liaise with suppliers to ensure that specification and legal requirements are met and reported.

Plan, coordinate, and execute packaging trials on production lines, ensuring robust evaluations and seamless integration of new materials and formats.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of trial outcomes, including transit tests and scalability assessments, identifying any issues, and troubleshooting where needed.

Adopt and implement sustainable packaging solutions that align with company and customers policies, reducing environmental impact while maintaining functionality and cost-efficiency.

Regularly liaise within packaging team to share insights, best practices, and innovations across the company.

Understand the packaging and bakery market through attendance of webinar, exhibitions and food trolls.

Build and maintain strong relationships with packaging suppliers and external agencies, staying updated on industry trends.

Champion information sharing internally through our SharePoint folders.

Pay: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
