T Nevill & Co Ltd is a specialist metal fabrication company producing high-quality metal products using a wide range of techniques to meet prominent design briefs. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Junior Procurement and Estimating Assistant to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who is eager to learn about procurement and estimating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Full training on the estimating side of the role will be provided.
The Role:
As a Junior Procurement and Estimating Assistant, you will support the procurement and estimation functions of the business, ensuring that materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively while assisting in the preparation of accurate estimates for bespoke fabrication projects.
The role will involve liaising with suppliers, preparing documentation, managing orders, and providing administrative support to the team. While estimating responsibilities will be taught on the job, strong organisational skills and attention to detail will be essential to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing and ordering materials and subcontracted services
Liaise with suppliers to obtain prices and lead times
Maintain procurement records and supplier databases
Provide administrative support to the procurement and estimating team
Prepare purchase orders and manage order tracking
Assist in preparing cost estimates and project quotations (training provided)
Support the production team with procurement-related documentation
Help ensure projects run smoothly through efficient procurement processes
Working with the Business Development Manager to collect content for Social Media channels

Excellent organisational and administration skills
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
A proactive and positive approach to learning and problem-solving
An interest in the manufacturing or engineering sector (desirable)
Previous experience in an office, procurement, or administration role (desirable but not essential)

Working Hours
40 hours per week:
Mon-Thu: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (15-minute paid break, 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Friday: 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM (15-minute paid break)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 26,500.00 per year
