About You
You are a confident and collaborative individual with a strong interest in becoming a Product Owner or you are already a Junior Product Owner looking to advance your career. While you may not have direct product ownership experience, you bring a genuine passion for developing business applications, a keen interest in software, and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
You thrive when working with others to solve problems, are comfortable engaging with both technical teams and stakeholders, and are eager to learn how to turn business challenges into clear, actionable requirements. • Comfortable gathering and organising requirements, with a logical and meticulous approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a desire to grow your confidence engaging stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data concepts (e.g. governance, quality, or data lifecycle) is a plus, but not essential.
  • Exposure to or interest in tools like Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or ERP platforms.
  • An initiative-taking mindset, with a passion for learning and a commitment to developing a career in product ownership.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Desirable
  • Working toward or recently achieved a Product Owner certification (e.g. PSPO, CSPO) - or eager to gain certification
  • Experience in a product, business analyst, or project support role

Your Role
As the Junior Product Owner - Business Systems, you will:

  • Work closely with data engineers, architects, analysts, and governance leads to ensure high-quality, trusted data.
  • Champion data governance, quality, and accessibility across the organisation.
  • Align platform capabilities with strategic business objectives and evolving stakeholder needs.
  • Function as the voice of the customer and business in all stages of product development.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, regulatory, and internal standards.
