About the Opportunity



As a Junior Project Engineer, you will become part of the Production Team assisting the Project Managers in driving the day-to-day operations of the Production Office. You will be responsible for assisting the Project Managers with Planning, purchasing and preparation of Route Cards getting them into production, cost-effectively to the customer quality requirements as well as assisting with the updating of progress and WIP. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams--including Production, quality, and supply chain--you will promote a high-performance culture rooted in safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. This role demands a strong willingness to learn and progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities



Assist and coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery & Quality. Support, and assist to manage a diverse team of engineers, operators, and support staff in line with company values and performance expectations. Champion a Safety-First culture and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Collaborate with Production and quality teams to support new product introductions and process improvements. Assist to Monitor and drive performance using SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) principles and operational KPIs. Manage resource and capacity planning, ensuring efficient allocation of personnel and equipment. Help to Identify and manage risks and opportunities to enhance business outcomes. Support Project Managers and production in supplier engagement to ensure delivery and quality standards are maintained. Assist to Prepare and deliver production status updates and reports to internal stakeholders and customers. Ensure the safe management and effective use of all site assets, facilities, and systems.

About You



Experience in a production or operations Project role within a Tooling manufacturing or engineering environment--Aerospace or Defence sector experience is highly desirable. Brief understanding of engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical documentation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels. Confident in using business systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI); Future training would be available as required. Holds a full UK driving licence and has the legal right to work in the UK.
