AW Construction are a construction company based in Folkestone, undertaking a broad range of commercial construction projects across the Southeast of England and London. We are seeking to appoint a junior project manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be based at our offices in Folkestone, with the requirement to make frequent site visits
Applicants must have some experience of working in the construction industry, either on or off the tools
Key Responsibilities:
Working under the guidance of experienced project managers and contract managers:
Ensure projects are delivered safely; on time; on budget, to a high standard from inception to handover.
Oversee the co-ordination of operatives, sub-contractors and suppliers in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to project timelines, adjusting plans as necessary to meet objectives.
Prepare reports on project status, including risks, challenges, and solutions for stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of construction
Good level of Maths, English and IT
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent team working skills and a professional nature
