Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will support the commercial aspects of the business while working closely with the Estimator and wider management team. You will assist in handling customer enquiries, preparing accurate quotations, and maintaining strong client relationships, contributing directly to the growth and success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage enquiries from existing and potential customers via phone, email, Teams, or in person. Assist in preparing detailed and accurate quotations, ensuring clarity and precision in both numerical and descriptive information. Check and verify agreed costs to ensure compliance and consistency across all quotations. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, providing a professional and responsive service. Develop technical knowledge by shadowing the Testing Technician Team, reviewing technical publications, and studying in-house project drawings. Support the commercial team in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service. Provide timely updates to clients and internal teams to ensure transparency and excellent customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively. Good numeracy skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Enthusiastic and willing to learn, with an interest in developing a career in sales estimating.
