Position Overview


Reporting to the Lead Software Developer, the Junior Developer role is a hands-on development role contributing to Motia applications and services. Working with experienced developers, this role will contribute to developing, testing and maintaining real world software solutions with a focus on industry leading customer experience.


Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of mobile and web applications and backend solutions. Write clean, efficient, secure and maintainable code in line with functional and non-functional requirements. Debug and resolve technical issues and contribute to solving complex problems. Collaborate with in-house and external team members to deliver quality solutions. Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality. Actively participate in scrum ceremonies and team meetings. Maintain documentation for code, processes and technical decisions. Contribute to improving software tooling, processes and standards. Stay up to date of emerging technologies and best practices

Requirements



BSc in Computer Science or related subject. Solid understanding of programming languages C# and .NET. Familiarity with HTML, CSS and front-end frameworks. Knowledge of databases and SQL. Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git) and deploy. Keen to learn and grow with a continuous improvement mindset. Methodical with ability to organise and prioritise. Great problem-solving skills. Good communicator. Strives to be an active member of the team. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively. Adaptable and resilient.
