About The Role

Based in Yeovil the Junior Software Developer is responsible for the development and support of the BCA Vision software used by BCA Automotive and BCA Vehicle Services. This includes the Track app used by customers, drivers and workshop staff.



The Junior Software Developer reports to the Business Systems Manager.



Key Responsibilities:


Participate in the product refinement sessions. Use the daily stand ups to update the team on progress and raise any issues that are blocking progress. Ensure new software development and software changes meet the requirements and acceptance criteria documented in the user stories. Ensure new software and software changes meet the coding principles documented in the Secure Development Policy. Ensure that the confidentiality, integrity and availability requirements that are documented in the user stories are met when developing new software or changing existing software. Ensure code is securely developed to minimise the risk of introducing the technical vulnerabilities identified in the OWASP Top 10. Test software meets the acceptance criteria documented in the user stories before handing over for further testing. Ensure calls allocated to you on the IT service desk for software issues and support are completed in a timely manner.
