Managing the food preparation process through supporting and delegating to other team members
Supporting the Head Chef with creating menus, developing recipes and fine-tuning dishes
Supervising all kitchen sections during service and ensuring high standards are met
Supporting the training and management of junior team members
Responsible for ensuring all health and safety guidelines and regulations for the kitchen and food hygiene are met
Key Skills and Attributes
The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in a fresh food establishment with a strong passion for creating and delivering high-quality dishes. It is essential that they have skills and experience in managing and developing a kitchen team, overseeing various sections during service, and ensuring the best quality of food is produced.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
L1 & L2 Food Safety Awards
Hold a minimum NVQ L2 in Catering
L2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award
