Role Description - Full-time | On-Site



As Sous Chef, you will work closely alongside the Head Chef to lead, inspire, and develop the kitchen team, ensuring that every service runs with creativity, precision, and passion. You'll play a vital role in shaping menus, elevating standards, and bringing the SEALS COVE food vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:



Overseeing all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Supporting the development of seasonal, locally inspired menus. Upholding the highest levels of kitchen hygiene, safety, and organisational records. Mentoring junior chefs and fostering a positive, growth-minded kitchen culture. Collaborating closely with management to enhance the overall guest experience.

About you:



This role is ideal for an ambitious Jnr Sous or Senior Chef De Partie ready to take the next step - someone who thrives in a creative, hands-on environment and is passionate about building something truly special with a talented and visionary team.

Qualifications & Skills:



Proven experience as a Jnr Sous Chef or Snr CDP in a high-volume kitchen. Strong leadership and team management skills. Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and kitchen best practices. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure. Creativity and passion for culinary arts (NVQ2 L2 Min). Culinary degree or equivalent experience (Nice to Have). Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with the culinary team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
