Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting food preparation activities. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in the culinary arts.

The weekly hours will range between 18.5 and 23 hours, with scope for more when covering shifts.

Evening work, and alternating Saturdays are essential for the team.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items according to established standards of quality and food safety. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations. Provide excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or requests promptly and courteously. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service and assist with food preparation as needed. Monitor stock levels of supplies and reporting shortages.

Experience

Previous experience a catering setting is preferred. Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
