Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food production processes
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and high standards of service
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
Monitor food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
Train junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Support the serving team during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
