We are seeking a skilled and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
Oversee food production and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety practices.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimise waste through efficient food production practices.
Ensure adherence to food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
Provide support during service periods by cooking, plating, and serving dishes as needed.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
