Job Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced chef to join our Kitchen team within the Food and Beverage Offering of Betteshanger Country Park.

The park boasts The Lamp Room restaurant serving breakfast and lunch to our daily visitors as well as multiple events throughout in across the park as well as in our stunning events venue The Glass Room. With such a broad food offering, your day could be spent serving breakfast for the restaurant, flipping burgers in our food trailer or prepping an a la carte meal for a wedding.

This role offers someone a variety to their working week and has potential for you to share your ideas and work in the development of the business. We are looking for a strong candidate who can offer a support to our Head Chef, leading the team in his absent and ensuring the daily operations are to his expectations.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a kitchen, have a good understanding of food preparation and service and be willing to work as part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
- Take part in daily operations of the kitchen

- Take pride in the cleanliness and overall presentation of the kitchen
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and food safety standards
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

- Report to the Head Chef on stock levels, prep levels and health and hygiene measures

Skills:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen / food service job is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is essential
- Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques

Pay will be dependent on experience. Full-Time or Part-Time available, flexible contract offering a 24-40 hour working week.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
