We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef by overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service standards. Duties



Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating advanced culinary techniques Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations Monitor food safety standards throughout all stages of food preparation and service Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operation and excellent customer experience Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas based on current trends and customer preferences

Qualifications



Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques Extensive kitchen experience with comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Leadership qualities combined with a passion for culinary excellence and hospitality Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management Experience in restaurant serving environments is desirable but not essential; however, familiarity with customer service principles is advantageous
