We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and equipment usage.
Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, assisting with ordering as necessary.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
