Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient food preparation and cooking processes. Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food production schedules. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Participate in the preparation of meals during peak service times as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant environment. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
