Henrietta Hotel opened in 2017, right in the heart of bustling Covent Garden. A haven nestled away from the busy streets outside, Henrietta is comprised of 40 rooms divided into two buildings. In the summer of 2024, renowned British chef Jackson Boxer took the helm of the restaurant, reimagining the food offering against the backdrop of a full restaurant redesign. Expect nods to their Parisian heritage and the city's famed bistros, as well as to Covent Garden's rich history. Taking inspiration from London's continental neighbours, the menu at Henri reflects the culinary traditions and timeless appeal of a Parisian bistro, serving Jackson's take on French classics alongside signature Experimental cocktails.

Junior Sous Chef

Based in:

Covent Garden, London


We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for assisting with keeping correct food standards, staff management, inventory/purchasing of supplies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Kitchen Operations

Maintain a high level of food quality and production with the aim of exceeding our guest's expectations. Support the Head Chef to ensure effective control of stock purchasing, receipt, storage, preparation, and service regarding quality and quantity. Oversee the maintenance of kitchen equipment, communicate with the Head Chef when repairs are needed. Ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered and applied. Supporting the Head Chef in helping to manage the kitchen team.

Reporting

In coordination with the Head Chef:


Ensure that the food operations are controlled in order to reach the desired cost of sales, maximizing potential and optimizing resources. Manage the inventory and order stock as needed.

ABOUT YOU

Experience in a similar role within a comparable venue. Have a passion for Food & Beverage industry. Be well spoken with excellent communication skills. Attention to details and customer needs. Social, engaging and motivated. Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations. Knowledge as well as abilities in other languages would be beneficial. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
