Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and presentation of a diverse range of high-quality dishes in accordance with company standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Support the training and development of junior kitchen team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, stock control, and waste reduction initiatives.
Assist in serving food during busy periods, ensuring excellent customer service is maintained at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively under pressure.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of culinary practices and standards.
Demonstrable leadership skills coupled with excellent organisational abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry.
Experience in restaurant operations, including serving and customer interaction is desirable.
