Duties
Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and excellence in all menu items
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise operational efficiency
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence within the team
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a team of chefs or kitchen staff
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines
Experience working in hospitality settings such as restaurants or hotels
Familiarity with food production processes and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Previous experience in serving customers or providing excellent customer service is advantageous
