Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This position requires a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Participate in menu planning, including the development of new recipes and seasonal offerings. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Experience

Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen management practices. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Previous experience in supervising staff and managing kitchen operations is highly desirable. A passion for cooking, creativity in menu development, and an understanding of current culinary trends are advantageous.
