As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences while supervising the kitchen staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, preparation, and presentation of dishes.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with team members to create innovative dishes that meet customer expectations.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow during service periods.
Provide leadership and support to junior cooks, fostering a positive team environment.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise kitchen staff effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
