We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our 2 AA Rosette culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fresh food preparation and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure effective team management during service.
Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to the Head Chef's recipes.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of classical food preparation techniques.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a kitchen setting is desirable.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dishes that delight guests.
