We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in presentation, taste, and portion control.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and minimise waste through effective management.
Support the development of new menu items and culinary innovations in collaboration with the culinary team.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Previous experience in food production, restaurant operations, or hospitality is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Strong leadership qualities combined with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates.
