Overview


We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production and presentation. This position requires a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that align with our restaurant's vision. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to specification and presented beautifully before serving. Handle any kitchen-related issues that may arise during service.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership. Comprehensive knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen operations. Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on food preparation and presentation. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Previous hospitality experience is highly desirable. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
