We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen operations. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food preparation standards and safety protocols.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications while maintaining consistency.
Manage food production processes, including inventory control, portioning, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, equipment, and storage areas.
Assist in ordering supplies and managing stock levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings.
