Hotel Miramar is one of the most high profile, family owned Hotels in Bournemouth with an excellent reputation for very high standards of food and service. We operate No 43 House Restaurant, serving Breakfast and A la Carte dinner, and have two function rooms for weddings and all other functions along with all day dining in our Drawing Room and Al fresco terrace. To enhance our team, we are seeking the right candidate to assist and further our success within a busy Hotel environment

Job Overview: We are seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in a bustling Hotel setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in food production, preparation, and team management .

Duties: - Assist the Head and Sous Chef with menu planning, food preparation, and overall kitchen operations - Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities, ensuring high-quality food production - Maintain food safety standards and compliance with hygiene regulations - Cook and prepare dishes according to set recipes and quality standards - assist and motivate the kitchen team to achieve culinary excellence - the role will include compliance with stock control and ordering procedures, and inventory management - Contribute to the development of new menu items and daily specials

Experience: - Proven experience working in a busy kitchen environment, preferably in a junior supervisory role - Strong background in food production, preparation, and presentation - Excellent knowledge of food safety practices and procedures - Ability to contribute to a team effectively and demonstrate great people skills A passion for the culinary arts and delivering exceptional hospitality services is requisite. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-31,500.00 per year
