We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef/Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Assist in the daily preparation and cooking of menu items to company standards
Maintain high standards of food presentation, portion control, and hygiene
Support the wider kitchen team in managing stock, reducing waste, and ensuring cost efficiency
Work with directors to implement food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures
Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service periods in the absence of senior cover
Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff and apprentices
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas
Contribute ideas for menu specials, cost-saving, and kitchen efficiency
Take responsibility for ordering and deliveries as needed
Act as a key point of communication between directors and kitchen staff
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and HACCP procedures
Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
Good communication and leadership skills
Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
Flexibility to adapt in a changing kitchen environment
