We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful applicant will be instrumental in supporting the Head Chef and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and presentation of a diverse range of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative working environment.
Oversee food production processes, maintaining efficiency whilst adhering to health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients to minimise waste.
Enforce strict food safety standards and cleanliness protocols across the kitchen area.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to coordinate service times and meet customer expectations.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials.
Support the Head Chef in daily operations, including scheduling staff shifts and maintaining operational standards.
Skills
Previous grill/steak house knowledge and experience
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
Must have fresh food/restaurant standard kitchens
Extensive food production and preparation skills with a strong focus on quality control.
Excellent team management abilities, fostering motivation and effective communication among staff.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently.
