The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic developer with experience in C# to join one of our software development teams. You will join a Systems Development Team delivering enterprise level and highly scalable systems which underpin the success of the company.

The primary focus for the team is to contribute to our \xe2\x80\x9cDigital First\xe2\x80\x9d journey. This journey will provide Zen customers and prospects a best-in-class experience, adopting the best ideas from other leading industries, to deliver an innovative, automated, and disruptive customer experience to support Zen in our mission to become a challenger brand within the communications market. The team\xe2\x80\x99s mission will be to build on and rapidly develop our digital self-service capability to our customer engagement systems, primarily through our websites, portals, and mobile app.

This will be delivered through numerous technologies and multiple channels, so a broad technical skillset is essential with the ability to embrace new technologies to solve specific challenges.

You will be joining a highly capable and enthusiastic group of developers working on an exciting array of technologies in a very friendly environment.

The wider Systems Development team are embarking on a journey to re-platform our entire software estate, and this would offer the right candidate the opportunity to solve unique, large scale technical problems across a wide variety of challenges and technical problems.

Required skills & experience:
  • Experience in C#
  • Experience in .NET unit testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team environment
Desirable skills & experience
  • We\xe2\x80\x99re primarily building software in C# and Javascript, however we would love to hear from experienced developers in other modern languages
  • Experience of developing and consuming REST APIs (ASP .NET WebApi)
  • Experience of using source control (Git, TFS)
  • Experience of working with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience of using CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GO CD)
  • Experience of Test Driven Development
  • Experience of Databases (SQL Server, Dynamo)
  • Experience of implementing technical design patterns and architectural principals
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
