to join our team on a part-time basis. Based at our Belvedere office, this role is primarily admin-focused, but offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow your coding skills. With several ongoing projects, you'll work closely with our team on real-world web development challenges, particularly in WooCommerce.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and customise WordPress websites, with a strong emphasis on WooCommerce functionality.
Ensure optimal website performance, security, and scalability.
Manage WordPress users, handle user requests, and create custom reports.
Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement new features.
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, sometimes liaising directly with clients.
Keep up to date with the latest WordPress and web development trends to help keep our platforms modern and competitive.
Requirements:
Experience:
This is an entry-level role; however, a computing background is essential. This could include a relevant degree, bootcamp certification, or demonstrable prior work.
Experience with WordPress and WooCommerce is preferred.Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (or Python) is required.
Knowledge of PHP is desirable.
Understanding of responsive and adaptive design.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of platform integrations.
Basic knowledge of UX/UI principles.
Experience with Make (formerly Integromat) is highly desirable but not essential.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
Ability to manage tasks across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
