Location: Based in Norwich, Norfolk with project specific installations across UK & European Venues

Entry-Level Salary from: 24,500 (per annum - excluding O/T arrangements & Bonus)

Assistant Exhibition Stand Builder - Role Overview:

A role offering something a little different and bringing together a variety of skills from, graphic production and print, to carpentry, fabrication, decoration and modular construction.

As an Assistant Exhibition Stand Builder, you will be working within our in-house production team, across both our graphics studio and carpentry workshop. This makes the role ideal for a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and preference to learn new skills and engage in a variety of practical tasks.

This position will suit individuals who are adept working with their hands; with general DIY skills including painting, decorating and woodworking a bonus.

Candidates should have a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic and a positive attitude to work. Time keeping and organisation are essential skills within every project.

The nature of our work can be demanding, with event installations across several UK and European venues throughout the year. However, these installations bring varied experience in the world of event production, with the opportunity to travel as part of the role.

The role will also involve regular maintenance of production premises and machinery, along with supporting the effective running of the business infrastructure, which will include general organisation, cleaning, managing inventories and supporting requirements of the production team.

The nature of the position and industry means that an amount of evening and weekend working will be undertaken, along with travel to events venues and client premises across the UK and sometimes Europe.

We are keen to build skill in the right individual, and encourage those with an interest in event production, scenic production, exhibition carpentry and graphic production to apply, with opportunity to upskill further in these disciplines as part of our onward business development.

Starting salary is subject to interview and experience, with ongoing review of salary and pay structure relating to progression in post. The position is a permanent and progressive one for the right individual.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Strong organisational skills & time keeping Able communicator with ability to talk about projects with colleagues & clients Dedicated team player able to take responsibility for tasks assigned to them Willingness to develop practical skills across production such as woodworking, modular construction, print, painting/decorating & graphic production Attention to detail and ability to hold own work to high standards Willingness to engage in a range of manual tasks & physical event installations Ability to work an amount of evenings and weekends Full clean UK driving licence

Desirable:

Experience in carpentry, woodworking, DIY, painting, decorating or other allied trade Experience in event production / exhibitions / retail fit-out / graphic installation Experience of driving vans / commercial vehicles
