About the role
We're looking for a Junior/Mid-weight Designer to support delivery of website design, digital marketing, and creative projects for a mix of client and internal work. You'll play a key role in helping design websites, social and PPC ad campaigns, email templates, and more - while growing your skills across UX, content population, and project collaboration.
You'll work closely with our design lead and wider team, learning how to break down complex client briefs into effective visual outcomes, always with attention to detail and consistency. There's scope for full ownership of own website projects too.
About you
You have 1-2+ years' experience in a junior digital or graphic design role, ideally within an agency environment
You have a keen interest in web and digital design, with solid understanding of layout, typography, and UX fundamentals
You're organised, proactive, and comfortable managing your own tasks
You're a confident communicator who's open to feedback and can work collaboratively
You must show a strong portfolio that demonstrates well-crafted website layouts, digital campaign assets, and clear design thinking across web, social, and marketing projects
Key responsibilities
Design responsive website layouts, marketing landing pages, and digital campaign assets in Figma
Build smaller websites using platforms like Squarespace
Create PPC ad layouts, social media content, email designs, and internal creative assets
Assist with creative research, moodboards, and workshop preparation
Work with the wider team to interpret briefs, contribute ideas, and deliver well-crafted design work
Where needed, work directly with clients to understand goals and present creative solutions
Support with content structuring as part of design deliverables
Help populate content into CMS platforms and help maintain/update existing websites when necessary
Carry out QA checks on website builds to ensure accuracy and consistency when necessary
Skills & experience
A portfolio showing strong attention to layout, typography, colour, and UX principles across digital projects
Proficiency in Figma (Adobe Creative Suite knowledge also useful)
Comfortable managing your own tasks and workload with good time management skills
Confident, clear communicator, both written and verbal
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and techniques
1-2+ years of experience in a junior design role, preferably within an agency environment
What would set you apart from other candidates?
Degree or similar qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related discipline
Familiarity with modern AI creative tools as part of your workflow
Writing clear, engaging copy to support visual design work
Experience of using WordPress CMS
Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other front-end fundamentals
An interest in UX audits, conversion optimisation, or broader digital strategy
Awareness of project commercials -- timescales, budgets, and scope considerations
