Method operate a hybrid working policy so this will be a blend of the either the Swindon or Bristol office and working remotely. Please state your first and second office location on application.

Method is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior/Senior CAD Technician to join our friendly growing team.

Based at either our new modern head office in central Swindon which has good travel links to London, Bristol and Bath, or our modern Bristol office, you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and gain invaluable knowledge from other team members, whilst working closely with our other business groups.

Your career within Method Consulting will only be limited by your ability and aspirations and responsibility will be given to you at a level commensurate with your ability. We will support you to become a member of the CIBSE, IMechE or EI and eventually to become chartered engineer.

Your role will include:

Setting up drawings for engineers Creating & updating external reference drawings. Creating & updating Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health drawings from engineers' markups (Plans, layouts, elevations, schematics and details). Creating blocks for project use. Assisting with Revit modelling requirements Document control Working closely with the BIM Manager to assist with everyday tasks and deadlines
We provide a wide ranging technical consultancy service with sustainability at the heart of the design process.

Experience/ skills required

GCSE's at grade C or Higher. (Maths & Sciences B) - DT would also be an advantage Experience in CAD: AutoCAD 2D Essentials level 2 City & Guilds or equivalent (would be helpful but it is not necessary - full training can be given). An interest in the construction industry, computers and IT and a willingness to learn new skills Good communication skills Excellent organisational skills The ability to manage and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines GCSE's at grade C or Higher. (Maths & Sciences B) - DT would also be an advantage. CAD: AutoCAD 2D Essentials level 2 City & Guilds or equivalent (not essential).
