Job Description

London Sports Trust is looking for a BC level 2 (Paddle UK Coach Award) Kayaking coach on a Freelance coaching basis. We currently operate across three sites, Canalside Activity Centre on the Grand Union Canal in Ladbroke Grove, as well as Cremorne on the tidal River Thames in Chelsea and Fulham Reach located in Hammersmith Bridge also on the river.

We are looking for energetic candidates with strong leadership skills, group control and a positive coaching personality with an enthusiasm for providing engaging and developmental watersports sessions to young people and school groups.

The ideal candidate would have experience coaching on either the River Thames or a body of water of similar dynamic movement and possesses an understanding of the dangers of moving water. Paddle Uk Moderate Water discipline specific training for the Coach Award for example would be ideal but not essential if experience and competency operating sessions on river can be proven.

The role primarily would cover sessions at Cremorne and Fulham Reach on the river, however as we move into September sessional work at our site on the Canal will also become increasingly available meaning good hours across the three sites.
