We are looking for a permanent member of staff to join the team here at Amberlea Country Kennels and Cattery.
The applicant must have experience with caring for all types of dogs and cats within a kennel/cattery environment, and be able to handle both with confidence and compassion. Customer service is an essential part of the role, so good communication and good phone skills will be needed. Making bookings and dealing with payments is another aspect of the job, so the candidate must be computer literate.
Being able to work as part of a team and also independently is important, and a person who is forward thinking and works to their own initiative will fit this role well. The job is very physical and involves busy days on your feet, so you must have a good level of health and fitness.
The working day is generally from 8:30am until 4:30pm, 4 to 6 days a week depending on the business needs. Weekend and Bank Holiday work is required as well as working over the Christmas Period. Holidays are limited to our less busy periods.
Salary starts at minimum wage for your age.
Due to our location it is essential that you have your own transport, or live very locally.
