We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to the relevant managers.

- Handle heavy lifting when managing larger animals or moving supplies.
- Support veterinary staff during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and services provided.

Skills

- Ability to handle large breeds of dogs with confidence and care.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required in the role.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.

Required

- Driving licence and own transport

- Availability to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota
