About us

Gallowmyre Kennels Ltd is a small business in Perthshire, PH2 7NU. We are fast-paced, professional, fun and our goal is to have happy dogs, happy customers and a happy kennel environment. We are looking for a full time senior member of staff, we work in a split shift 8-12 and 3-6. The starting pay is 13.00 an hour and will increase after 6 months once you have showed that you can confidently carry out all tasks in a timely manner.

Duties:
- Provide care and support for animals in a kennel environment
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Feed and water animals according to their specific needs
- Administer medications as directed by senior staff
- Monitor the health and behaviour of animals and report any concerns to other senior staff
- Assist with grooming tasks where needed
- Walk dogs and provide exercise, playtime and cuddle time for all animals

Skills:
- Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a kennel or pet care setting
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments with care and compassion
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and medication administration
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kennel area
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and address their questions or concerns

-Ability to manage a small team of staff and ensure all staff are meeting our high standards.
