We are now looking for an experienced Account Manager who can build long lasting client relationships, grow account spend and handle the fast pace of a busy production environment. You will be the main point of contact for your clients and play an important role in making sure they receive a smooth and reliable service from enquiry to delivery.
Position Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of key clients and ensuring their print requirements are handled quickly, accurately and professionally. The role involves quoting, order processing, artwork approvals, ongoing communication and identifying opportunities to increase spend across your accounts. You will work closely with our production team, international partners and external suppliers to keep everything moving.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interaction and Quoting
Act as the first point of contact for your allocated key accounts
Understand client requirements fully before preparing quotes
Produce accurate and competitive quotes and highlight relevant upsell opportunities
Liaise with production, our international facilities and external suppliers to obtain quick and accurate information when quoting
Quote Follow Up
Follow up on all quotes within the agreed time frame to secure orders
Understand reasons for unsuccessful quotes and use this to improve future performance
Log all follow up activity within the Quote Follow Up task and provide any pricing feedback to the management team
Key Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with your clients
Keep in regular contact and complete weekly account development calls
Use the CRM to plan, track and manage all communication
Provide clear technical advice on our full product range
Order Processing and Artwork Approvals
Process client orders quickly and accurately
Work with administrators to keep workflow smooth and minimise delays
Manage artwork approvals and make sure clients respond promptly so orders move into production without hold ups
Customer Retention and Growth
Contact lapsed clients to understand why spend has reduced and work to re engage them
Identify opportunities to grow spend within your existing accounts
Promote the full range of products and services to increase our share of their print requirements
Problem Resolution
Resolve customer issues within 4 hours by coordinating with internal teams or couriers
Keep clients informed and handle all situations with professionalism and urgency
Customer Service Excellence
Provide a high level of customer service at every stage
Maintain a friendly, positive and professional approach in all client interactions
Essential Skills and Experience
At least 2 years experience in a wide format printing environment or print management company
Strong knowledge of substrates, print methods and finishing processes for retail, event and exhibition work
A positive and proactive attitude when responding to client requests including non standard enquiries
Strong negotiation skills to improve quote conversion
Experience using quotation systems, MIS platforms and CRM software
Excellent numeracy, communication and organisational skills
