About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded
Drainage Key Account Manager
to take ownership of our key client relationships across London and the South East. You'll be the bridge between our operations and clients -- ensuring service excellence, identifying growth opportunities, and maintaining long-term partnerships built on trust and performance.
Based out of our NW4 office but predominantly field-based, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on face-to-face client interaction, has a keen eye for operational detail, and can spot opportunities to add value across planned and reactive drainage services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop strong, lasting relationships with key drainage and maintenance clients.
Act as the main point of contact for client accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and quick resolution of any issues.
Understand each client's operational needs and tailor our service delivery accordingly.
Proactively identify areas for improvement, cost savings, or additional support.
Work closely with internal teams -- including operations, scheduling, and finance -- to ensure smooth coordination and service delivery.
Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities within existing accounts and identify potential new clients through referrals and networking.
Prepare regular reports on account performance, service levels, and revenue growth.
Attend client meetings, site visits, and reviews to ensure consistent communication and service alignment.
Requirements
Proven experience in
account management or client development
, ideally within drainage, facilities management, or property maintenance.
Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-driven.
Comfortable managing a field-based role with regular client site visits.
IT literate with experience using CRM systems and reporting tools.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
References required.
Desirable
Knowledge of drainage systems, planned maintenance, and reactive repair processes.
Background working with commercial property, facilities management, or construction clients.
