Key Account Manager

Job Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Key Account Builders team in the position of Key Account Manager.



To optimise sales and profit by promoting the Company's products and services to the assigned account portfolio. Work closely with the key decision makers to develop strategic business development plans, designed to reflect Forterra's and the customers commitment.



Your duties would include but not limited to the following:



Account owner and or key contact of designated accounts. Ownership of designated account performance including new and prospect opportunities and customer scheduling management Create account development plan aligned to both the company and customer expectation Prepare monthly performance updates to wider management and external sales team Develop a close liaison with wider commercial team to drive improvements in performance, communication, and customer service. To establish regular contact /review meetings to monitor and measure performance and promote the wider company's products and services. To keep abreast of developments in commercial, technical and policy matters and be able to react accordingly Maintain strong customer relations, ensuring you capture future strategic plans and developments To follow safe working practice in accordance with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and with the Company's Safety Policy To comply with all aspects of the HR and compliance procedures of the Company From time to time to undertake duties not specifically mentioned above according to instructions from your line manager or commercial leadership team. To monitor the efficiency of present procedures and systems and where necessary suggest new improvements

About You:



Working with accounts on a national & regional basis Excellent communication and customer relationship skills Negotiation skills Good knowledge of IT skills Highly motivated with strong team ethics Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision Strong presentation skills, especially with CPDs Good organisational and planning skills Ability to prioritise workload Understanding of Building Industry practices Sales experience within the building industry
