About the Position
As we enter another exciting phase of growth for Flora Food Group Professional, we are looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager in Wholesale & Convenience to help shape and deliver our commercial strategy.
Reporting to the Wholesale Controller, you'll be a key member of the sales team responsible for driving growth across the UKI wholesale and convenience sectors. You'll manage key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver against ambitious growth targets for our plant-based portfolio focusing on the benefits of allergen free and carbon saving solutions for busy catering professionals.
This is a customer-facing role that requires strong commercial acumen, deep knowledge of the UKI foodservice wholesale and convenience sectors, and the ability to manage complex customer relationships through route to market wholesalers and their sales teams. Possessing gravitas, confidence and impact is critical.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Account Management:
Lead business development across the wholesale and convenience sectors, identifying and prioritising growth opportunities.
Develop engaging, insight-led business plans with clear commercial rationale and deliver execution excellence.
Manage commercial decision-making for existing accounts and new business opportunities, maintaining full customer-specific P&L responsibility.
Customer Development & Collaboration
Foster strong relationships and networks with key customers and wholesale partners, building trust and long-term engagement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical, and Finance teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Support internal sales teams as a key member and externally the wholesaler field sales teams in activating initiatives and winning new business.
Represent Flora Food Group Professional as a trusted commercial partner in the marketplace.
Leadership & Communication:
Act as the link between Brand, Sales and wholesaler Field Force sales teams to ensure alignment and speed of execution.
Champion cross-functional collaboration -- ensuring shared priorities, transparency, and results-driven teamwork.
Contribute to a positive, agile, and inclusive team culture where ideas are valued and results are celebrated and best practices shared.
What Does It Take to Be Successful?
We are looking for a commercially sharp, relationship-driven Key Account Manager who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys delivering real results. You should have:
Experience:
Significant experience within wholesale, convenience, or foodservice channels (FMCG background strongly preferred).
Commercial Acumen:
Proven track record of delivering commercial success and building strategic customer partnerships derived from solid forensic insights.
Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the UKI wholesale and foodservice sectors, including routes to market and key operators.
Strategic Thinking:
Ability to identify, cost, and deliver a clear three-year business development pipeline aligned to customer needs.
Negotiation & Influence:
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing at multiple levels.
Execution & Drive:
A self-starter who takes ownership, moves fast, and finds creative solutions to challenges.
Passion for Food:
Genuine interest in the food industry and commitment to driving growth in plant-based and professional categories.
