We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Lead and motivate team members to provide exceptional guest services and maintain high standards of hospitality
Support in training staff on food safety, food preparation, and customer service protocols
Oversee stock levels, organise replenishments, and ensure merchandise presentation aligns with brand standards
Implement upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities and enhance guest experience
Handle guest enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure overall satisfaction
Assist in maintaining health and safety standards across the store, including food safety regulations
Support promotional activities and contribute to achieving sales targets through effective upselling strategies
Collaborate with kitchen staff on food preparation processes when necessary, ensuring quality standards are met
Manage administrative tasks such as cash handling, basic maths calculations, and reporting
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques
Strong understanding of guest services and customer satisfaction principles
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management
Experience with kitchen operations or culinary activities is advantageous
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Proven leadership abilities with a proactive approach to team support and development
Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanour
Organised with good attention to detail to ensure operational excellence at all times
